National Park Service Waives Entry Fees For Memorial Day

Acting director said, “We invite everyone to spend this day honoring those who gave their lives, reflecting on our shared history and connecting with the parks and memorials that help preserve these stories for future generations.”

The National Park Service (NPS) announced that all entry fees would be waived on Memorial Day, May 25th, inviting “Americans to spend time in the places where our nation’s stories of service, sacrifice, and remembrance live on.“

“Memorial Day reminds us that freedom has always carried a cost,” said Acting NPS Director Jessica Bowron. “Across the National Park System, visitors can experience the places where Americans served and sacrificed in defense of our nation. We invite everyone to spend this day honoring those who gave their lives, reflecting on our shared history and connecting with the parks and memorials that help preserve these stories for future generations.”

NPS stated, “From battlefields and military forts to national cemeteries, memorials and historic hometown landscapes, national parks preserve many of the places where America’s military story unfolded. These places continue to offer opportunities for remembrance, healing, learning, and connection.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Acting Director Bowron as she manages the National Park Service.
  • For Secretary Doug Burgum to seek God’s direction as he heads the Interior Department.
  • For Americans as they honor the sacrifices and commemorate the memory of those who gave their lives in defense of the U.S. for its 250 years.
